Australian animals and plants

It swims within the water sort of a fish, it's a bill sort of a duck's, the male has fighting spurs on his back feet, and therefore the female nurses her young as a dog or cat does but she lays eggs that hatch just like the eggs of a bird or a fish. this is often an animal that has never been found anywhere except in Australia. The Aborigine dog was strange to the British, too. it's called a dingo, and it's quite different from dogs in England. it's a canine, however, not a wolf nor a fox, as many of the early settlers thought initially. Another animal that had never been seen anywhere else was the koala, a fluffy little animal that appears sort of a living model of a toy teddy. it's very friendly. Although people in many parts of the planet have said they might wish to have koala bears for pets, it's difficult, because the sole food the koala eats is eucalyptus leaves, and therefore the eucalyptus grows mostly in Australia.

There are other strange animals in Australia, which may be found nowhere else. The spiny anteater is one. this is often a long-nosed animal with spines everywhere its body. It lives on a diet of ants. Its scientific name'is the echidna. As remarkable because the echidna is that the wombatArticle Search, an outsized animal that digs within the ground to seek out the roots on which it lives. The wombat sometimes reaches a weight of nearly 100 pounds. The trees and plants of Australia were strange to the first settlers.
